This report explores the development of transition finance in Hong Kong. It examines the evolving definitions of transition finance within the market and assesses the progress made by publicly listed companies in Hong Kong in developing transition finance strategies. In doing so, this report identifies the challenges faced by banks and corporates as they navigate the transition to net-zero. The findings of this report are present opportunities for policymakers and practitioners to support and enhance transition finance efforts.
